TecnoLab battery backup
replacement information
The purpose of this bulletin is twofold:
To provide you the necessary information to perform the replacement as well as purchase replacement batteries for your TecnoLab film processor.
You will need:
1 x Phillips® Screwdriver
Procedure:
- Open the top of the dryer cabinet to expose the electronics (you may have to remove two Phillips® screws depending upon the age of the processor).

Disconnect
the processor from the main voltage source!
For processors manufactured beginning in 1995, simply turn OFF the Seimens power switch located on the side of the dryer. If your processor was manufactured before 1995, disconnect the processor at the source circuit breaker. |
| WARNING! | High Voltage is still present in the electronics area even though you performed STEP 1! |
3. Open the "battery breaker" located on the left-hand side of the electronics to expose the large Buss Fuse.
| NOTE: | Once the battery breaker is open, the batteries are electrically isolated from the electronics and high voltage will no longer be present. |
4. Using a Phillips® screwdriver, remove the bracket located on the top of the batteries.
5. Note how the batteries are batteries are connected (note the color of the wires), then disconnect them.
6. Install the new batteries.
7. Close the battery breaker.
8. Close the lid of the dryer.
9. Restore main power to the processor by switching ON the Seimens power switch or by turning ON the source circuit breaker.
SOURCE FOR REPLACEMENT BATTERIES:
Your TecnoLab will use one of two different sizes of batteries.
