  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. At the rear of the unit, on the lower portion of the front/back switch, there is a sensor with a wire that runs into the motor unit. The sensor is held in place by 2 small flathead screws and washers. Remove the back screw completely, then loosen the front screw and slide the sensor out of its position. Note: Do not to drop the screws or washers into the water bath.
  3. Using the 3mm Allen driver, remove the six Allen screws that secure the motor unit to the trough. Remove the3 screws across the front and 3 across the back. If these screws are very tight, you may need to use the vice-grip pliers to loosen them.
  4. Follow the wire from the chemical temperature sensor into the lower motor unit. Reach into the access area and unplug the sensor.
  5. If your processor is an ATL-3 tabletop model, you may now lift out the lower motor unit.
